Hemp Beverage Alliance members in Crain’s Cleveland Business and the Assembly.
While the U.S. Senate was tabling amendments and the House was introducing new legislation, two states were fighting their own battles in the legislature and in the courts.
In North Carolina, hemp business owners (including many HBA members), employees and advocates packed the state house to lobby against House Bill 328, a conference report that mirrored the federal 0.4 milligram THC definition and would essential destroy the category in the state.

In Ohio, HBA members and other stakeholders were granted a preliminary injunction to continue manufacturing and selling hemp beverages while their case was heard in court.
